"A panic attack can seize your chest, steal your breath, and make you feel like your world is crashing down in an instant. In this hyper-vulnerable moment, do not try to fight the storm with logic. Instead, lean entirely onto the unwavering anchor of God's presence, which remains completely still even when your nervous system is screaming."
When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.
Psalm 94:19
Father, my heart is racing, my breath is short, and a sudden wave of terror has completely overwhelmed my body and mind. I cannot think straight right now, so I ask that Your Holy Spirit step in and calm my raging nervous system. Bring peace to my hyperventilating chest, quiet the alarm bells ringing in my thoughts, and anchor my spirit in the absolute certainty that I am completely safe in Your arms right now. Force this panic to recede under the weight of Your authority. Amen.
